CebuPac warns vs ticket fraud

LOW-COST (CEB) on Thursday issued a warning to its passengers to beware of travel agencies who engage in fraudulent transactio­ns.

The airline company issued the warning after it recently intercepte­d passengers who attempted to use tickets booked under names of other persons.

CEB said these passengers pre which were allegedly provided by unauthoriz­ed travel agencies who itinerarie­s with bookings under different names.

“CEB reminds the travelling public that passengers and travel agencies who engage in these fraudulent transactio­ns may be charged with civil and criminal actions under existing laws, and may face imprisonme­nt of up to 20 years,” the airline said in a statement.

It also encouraged passengers Mobile App, reservatio­n hotlines, and to transact with legitimate sales agents.
