Present were lector and commentator Delza Lazatin, member of the Order of Malta, Mercedes Tuason and Dr. Leopoldo Lazatin, president of the Order of Malta Philip[pines who donated the image of Our Lady of Philermos; Ambassador Odelia G. Malta past president; Oscar Ledesma and Trining Panicucci; and Domingo Mapa, members of Malta.

Inspired by Pope Francis’ motto “Let’s work for the growth of God’s Kingdom, when we see a poor, you see Jesus Christ,” Teresita, her husband Andres and brother Jose Paraiso Tambunting built the Church of Ina ng Laging Saklolo in Bagong Silang, Caloocan City, for the poorest of the poor in December 1998, and three schools.

The late architect Gabriel Formoso gave his services for free. The church, built with the approval, guidance and advice of the late Jaime Cardinal Sin and Archbishop Socrates Villegas, has a 1,100 capacity. During the construction of the church, Doña Aurora Paraiso Tambunting, mother of Tereret, was so concerned with its completion that although confined to a wheelchair, she visited the construction site several times.
