3 top drug pushers slain in Pangasinan

DAGUPAN CITY, Pangasinan: Two reported top drug pushers in the province were killed after they allegedly resisted arrest and engaged authoritie­s in a shootout while another drug pusher was shot dead on Friday in separate buy-busts in Lucao district here.

The Dagupan City Police chief, Supt. Christophe­r Abrahano, iden Llamas of Barangay Banaoang in Calasiao town and Henry Marzan of Dagupan.

Abrahano said Llamas is listed as No. 2 drug pusher in Calasiao town and a member of a gun-forhire syndicate operating in the central parts of the province, while Marzan is among the Top 10 drug suspects in Dagupan City with several pending drug cases in courts.

Senior Insp. Bernard Antolin, Calasiao Philippine National Police intelligen­ce chief, confirmed Llamas’ involvemen­t in illegal activities.

Abrahano said Llamas and Marzan were about to be arrested after the two handed out a sachet of shabu worth P500 to a poseur buyer when the suspects, upon sensing a buy- bust, drew their

Recovered from the suspects were two caliber .38 revolvers, a cellphone, P500 marked money and two sealed plastic sachets containing shabu.

Another suspect, Jerome Yao of Bonoan Guesset, Dagupan, was riding a motorcycle while he was buying cigarettes from a store also on Friday.

Yao was a top drug pusher in Dagupan, police said.

The suspect had been invited by the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council to surrender but declined, according to his family.
