ALLEGED DRUG PUSHER KILLED IN LA UNION

BAUANG, La Union: A suspected drug pusher was killed by a gunman in Barangay Acao, here, early on Saturday. Police Chief Inspectpr Rex Buyucan identified the victim as Frency Allen Perez, 38, a constructi­on mason and resident of the said village. Buyucan said Perez was in the police list of drug suspects of the town. But his 59- year- old mother Amy denied the accusation when interviewe­d in their home. Buyucan said Perez was shot two times on his back near a bridge by a gunman onboard a motorcycle in the presence of his wife, Desiree, as he was driving her in their service tricycle to sell food ingredient­s at the Bauang Public Market at about 4 a. m. on Saturday. Perez was undergoing treatment at the hospital when he died and also left an eight- year- old daughter.

2 MORE DRUG PUSHERS KILLED BY VIGILANTES

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan: Provincial police chief Senior Supt. Ronald Lee on Sunday reported the killing the other day of two more alleged drug pushers by vigilantes in separate incidents in Bugallon and Asingan towns. Lee identified the victims as Edgar Tanigue, 46-years old, tricycle driver and resident of Barangay Portic in Bugallon town; and Edward Ambrocio, 47, single and a resident of Barangay Coldit Zone 11 in Asingan town. They were both shot dead. Tanigue is No. 3 in the police drug watch list and the No.2 leader of a gang engaged in selling illegal drugs, car napping and cattle rustling activities. Meanwhile, Ambrocio is listed at No. 4 and has several pending drug cases in various courts in Urdaneta City.

AUTHORITIE­S NAB DRUG DEN OPERATOR, VENDORS IN PANGASINAN

CAMP DIEGO SILANG, La Union: Police authoritie­s and the Philippine Drug Enforcemen­t Agency ( PDEA) in Region I arrested a top priority target and maintainer of a drug den in Barangay Guiset Norte, San Manuel, Pangasinan and eight others in a buy- bust operation on Saturday. JeoffreyTa­cio, PDEA regional director, said arrested were Rosenia Punud, 30, of Pantao Ragat, Lanao Del Norte and the drug den maintainer; together with Norodin Ampaso, 36 of Marawi City, Lanao Del Sur; Sitti Pantao, 40 of Marawi City; Norhata Ibrahim, 20 of Pantao Ragat, Lanao Del Norte; Anida Ampaso, 29, of Marawi City; and Fahad Ozman Sultan, 33, also of Marawi City. They also arrested more top priority targets in Nasseif Bolao, 31, of Marawi City; Roselain Bolao, 27, of Tubod, Lanao Del Norte; and Junairah Bolao, 36, of Marawi City, Lanao Del Sur. They were residing in one compound in San Manuel, according to Tacio. The arrested drug suspects were either listed as drug den employees or vendors. Taken from them were an estimated 32 grams of shabu ( methamphet­amine hydrochlor­ide) and various drug parapherna­lia.
