Success being tried by failure

-

ONFIDENCE is not letting fear make the major decision for you. Success is a bumpy ride while failure is a paved scary journey confused by street signs of doubt and suspicion. *** The Senate hearing is a case of FAILURE blaming SUCCESS where the latter is being tasked to explain. It should be the other way around.

*** News: Du30 wants to leave UN News: Rody not leaving UN, merely frustrated —Yasay

It must be a daily nightmare for every Cabinet secretary to see President Digong approach a micropohone. They have to scramble and line up in the groceries to buy fabric softeners and oral antiseptics.

*** These are some familiar acronyms of UN related organizations that we will have to forego when we leave this world organization: (UNDP)(UNICEF)(WFP) (UNDCP)(ICAO). And by the way, leaving also means being left out.

*** Yasay: “When you were especially tired, disappointed, frustrated and angry and under these circumstances, we must give a leeway on the part of the President for this kind of reaction.”

Sir, the media is also getting tired, disappointed, frustrated, and angry with this line of defense. *** DU30: All political appointees dis- missed. The President doing a Trump - “You’re Fired!” Into the valley of death rode the 6,000.

Favorite clothes of both DU30 and D5 is “GAP.” Since they are not talking to each other, I suggest that they both wear the shoes “Converse.”

*** VP Leni is dubbed as the remaining “yellow ribbon” in DU30’s presidency. As a cabinet member in charge of housing, she seems to be living outside the family’s one roof. Is the yellow ribbon destined to be tied in an old oak tree?

*** The burial issue of FM is still with us. The burial, of course, is not the issue but the location. Google map, GPS or Waze are eagerly waiting for updates. Top of Form Bottom of Form.

*** Of course, social media has its upside and downside. It depends on where we are coming from. We are all opinionated on every issue and let us admit it. A good number of us pass judgment even without direct personal knowledge of the subject in question. We just base our views on what we read in other information platforms. We even fall into the trap of trolls and links that happened bothering to check the actual dates of publication. Not to mention sites erected to prop up or oppose certain advocacies.

We should be more discerning before we “convict” anybody on certain issues.

Rightly or wrongly, what is important is that we now have a voice and a freedom board through which we can express ourselves rather than source information through whispers and gossips in coffee shop corners. We now see alleged abuses even in a mere road rage incident, unlawful arrests or the harshness of a passenger against

Let us not blame each other but, instead, encourage each other on how those who despise social media’s political postings and the way they work, just the table encounters and unfollow or unfriend those who do not measure up to your liking. Better yet, spare yourself the stress - get out of it.

*** News: Jun Lozada convicted of graft, gets 6-10 years. No, this time the nuns may not be joining him inside the cell. Reminds me of Jackie Wilson’s song, “Lonely Teardrops.”

*** I really wish that after every “announcement” made by PDU30, corresponding legal action should commence immediately to deliver the message that his tales are backed by hard evidence and not just part of a “name game.” This is where the Chief Legal Counsel and SolGen could shine and boost the image of their boss, that he really means business. Give up the seduction of facing those cameras and microphones trying to defend him. The best defense is immediate legal action done quietly. Surely more effective than threats.

*** Law is not Justice. Law is just a guideline or tool to achieve the latter. Its interpretation and the timing of its application are all measured by the effects on the parties involved. As somebody said, a court of law is not always the hall of justice.

*** Numbers game? The number of drug lords, mules and users killed versus the number of drug victims, families and relatives destroyed by the menace: you guessed it right. The difference between their totals is miles and miles apart.

*** Some people see the alleged mansion of a driver as a sign of progress. One may agree. In other countries, only airline pilots can afford to own the same.

*** Good work, good deeds and good faith to all.
