Bomber, 2 inmates bolt Cotabato jail

AMAS, Kidapawan City: Authoritie­s are tracking down three high-risk detainees, including a bombing suspect, who escaped from North Cotabato provincial reformator­y facility at dawn on Wednesday.

The bombing suspect was iden who is facing illegal possession of explosives case, after his arrest in November last year.

Nasser was also tagged in a series of killings and bombing incidents in the town of Kabacan, including the death of former Kabacan Vice Mayor

The two other escapees were identified as Mama Mandagia Makalati, alias Marco, and Ting Puti Mustapa who are facing illegal drugs and car-theft charges.

Cotabato provincial police director, said the fugitives escaped to a forested area in nearby Barangay Patadon at about 4 a.m. after sawing off the steel bars at the back of the jail.

Talino-Mendoza ordered a thorough investigat­ion of the escape of three high-risk inmates.

Police and anti-drug operatives last month found sachets of shabu and deadly weapons in a surprise inspection of the jail.
