DRUG SUSPECT KILLED IN QC BUY-BUST OPERATION

QUEZON City Police District (QCPD) chief Sr. Supt. Guillermo Eleazar said Najir Panansaran, alias “Abdul Sadam,” 23 years old, a resident of Barangay Bagbag, Novaliches, was killed in a buy-bust operation conducted by QCPD Station 4 operatives Saturday afternoon. Panansaran, said to be a drug pusher, was in the drug watch list of QCPD Station 4. Eleazar said station anti-illegal drug operatives under Supt. April Mark Young were sent to Abbey Road in Bagbag around 4:45 p.m. of October 22. An operative posed as a buyer of shabu. When Panansaran sensed that he was dealing with a police officer, he drew his handgun and fired at the operatives. The police retaliated, resulting in the serious wounding of the suspect. He was rushed to Novaliches District Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival by Dr. Voltaire Garcia. Scene of the crime operatives led by Sr. Insp. Ben Corpuz recovered one caliber .45 Colt 1911 pistol with serial number 479361, a magazine loaded with ammunition, four fired cartridge cases, three bullet shells, four heat-sealed plastic sachets of shabu and the P500 bill used in the buy-bust.
