BARANGAY WATCHMAN, 4 OTHERS NABBED FOR DRUGS

FIVE drug personalit­ies including a barangay watchman were collared during a buy bust operation conducted at a house on no. 34 Lopez St., Brgy. San Antonio in Brgy. San Antonio, Quezon City by the Station Anti-Illegal Drugs-Special Operations Task Group (SAID-SOTG) of Masambong Police Station (2) under PSupt Igmedio Bernaldez.

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director, Senior Supt. Guillermo Eleazar identified the watchman as Romeo Alcantara aka Omet, 55, of No. 9 Batangas St., Brgy. San Antonio and the four others as Erwin Miguel, 38. of no. 34 Lopez St., Brgy. San Antonio; Manuel Solero aka Awe, 49, of 1A Madeliene St., Brgy Apolinario Samson; Norman Rosalinas, 47, of No. 75 MH Del Pilar St., Brgy. San Antonio and Annabelle Diaz, 28, residing at No. 73 Malaya St., Brgy Maharlika, Quezon City. They were all listed in the Barangay drug watch list.

Eleazar said the Station 2 operatives conducted a buy-bust operation at around 2:00 a.m. on Thursday at the house owned by Miguel. A police officer posed as a buyer and bought one plastic sachet of shabu worth P1,500 from suspects Alcantara and Miguel resulting in their arrest.

2 DRUG PUSHERS KILLED IN PASIG

TWO suspected drug pushers were killed by unknown assailants in separate incidents in Pasig City on Thursday night. The first victim, identified as Danilo Leccio, 56, was shot dead by unidentifi­ed suspects along E. Mendoza Street, Barangay Buting, at 8:15 p.m. Leccio was his way home on board a tricycle when shot by unidentifi­ed suspects near their house. He was brought to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Another suspected drug pusher, identified as Antonio “alias Jess” Mangundaya­o Sr., 60, a resident of Barangay Napico, Manggahan, in the same city, was killed by unidentifi­ed gunmen at about 10:45 p.m. He was buying at a nearby store when unidentifi­ed suspects tailed him on his way back to his house, barged in and fired at him several times hitting him in the head and body. He died instantane­ously. The victim was in the barangay drug watch list.

GANG MEMBER SLAIN, POSSIBLE MOTIVE IS DRUGS

A SPUTNIK Gang member identified as constructi­on worker Crisanto Pablo, 41, was gunned down by unidentifi­ed suspects, in Tondo, Manila, on Friday.

A report by SPO2 Jonathan Baustista of the Manila Police District-Homicide Section said the suspect was not a resident of the area but sometimes went to the house of his live-in partner there.

The victim’s body was found around nine in the morning at the alley of the helping complex, temporary housing, in Smokey Mountain. He sustained two gun shot wounds in the chest and one on the head. Earlier, the victim was arrested for possession of illegal drugs but was released after posting bail.
