ManilaMed celebrates 50 years with an eye to the future

AT 50, ManilaMed shows no signs of slowing down or of shifting priorities. In celebration of 50 years, this year ManilaMed has undertaken a generous charitable initiative, and major upgrades that will ensure that ManilaMed remains at the very forefront of healthcare in the Philippines for decades to come.

Upgraded delivery room

Completed just months ago, ManilaMed’s new delivery room now features five enclosable labor rooms in which expectant couples can be together all the way though labor. This offers a measure of privacy that was not previously possible.

The cutting edge in cancer care

Aimed at addressing the most feared healthcare issue of our time, the hospital’s new crown jewel is the recently completed, and soon to open Cancer Care Center. Designed from top to bottom to address the very specific needs of cancer patients. The center is built around the Multi- disciplinary team (MDT) approach to cancer treatment. This is a whole new paradigm in cancer care which has been successfully implemented in leading hospitals all over the world.

The Cancer Care Center’s centerpiece is a Linear Accelerator (LINAC). It is the absolute cutting edge in radiation therapy, and only one other hospital in Metro Manila has a machine that is even comparable.
