Letran Pioneer Electrical Engineering batch gets 100% board rating
COLEGIO de San Juan de Letran’s (EE) students passed the Septem Engineer Licensure examinations.
James Van Chan, Blessie Rose Bondoc, Myra Lalaquil, and Ma. Abigail Jordan achieved a 100% passing rate for Letran in the exams. The national passing rate is at 62.94%.
“We are very proud and very happy because we’re the pioneer batch [of Electrical Engineering] and we were able to carry the name of Letran,” said Jordan.
Engineered to overcome
their Engineering degree had been, many times, tough for Jordan and Co. What started as a batch of twelve in 2012 trickled down to just four and there were times that they wanted to shift also, admitted Jordan.
“We had [ that] feeling,” she said. “But we really liked what we were doing; we loved it so much that we happily endured the challenges.”
And it all paid off. Bondoc became a Registered Master Elec- trician in her fourth year, Chan graduated Magna Cum Laude in - gineering courses at her alma mater, and now, the four EE alumni are legitimate Electrical Engineers.
Jordan bared that prayers played a big part in their achievement, especially after having their own personal ‘Visita Iglesia’ prior to the examinations.
“It is a joy that, in our own way, we were able to promote the Engineering program of Letran,” she said.
