RCBC-CSME celebrates women in business
MORE and more women are actively venturing into entrepreneurial pursuits in the internet and why not? Internet businesses afford them the opportunity to make money while working from virtually anywhere: home, local coffee shops, local business centers, and other locations.
Such insight inspired RCBC’s Commercial & SME Banking Segment (CSME) to honor women in business through an Info-Networking Event held recently at the Ibiza Beach Club in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. Entitled “Wonder Women : Winning the Business Battle in Today’s Modern World,” the event underscores the group’s commitment, under its eWMN program, to provide women the right tools, through training and education, to do well in business. With technology now as a major success factor in many businesses, the central theme revolved on “How Digital Technology Help Grow Her Business.” The event was held in partnership with PLDT SME Nation and the World Bank’s International Finance Corp. (IFC).
RCBC Senior Vice President and CSME Head
Corinne Funk-Zablan, AVP and head of VIP and Embassy Accounts of PLDT Enterprise, talked about power tools, solutions and benefits of connectivity. Maria Angela Tinio said the event aimed to further empower women who play varied roles dayto-day: “This is a toast to women entrepreneurs who constantly face the challenges of balancing their varied roles as a woman – be them a mother, a wife, or a young single lady, while simultaneously meeting corporate expectations of running and growing a business.”
