The Philippine Civil Service salutes the 2017 Outstandin­g Government Workers

FIFTY- FOUR public servants were hailed as Outstandin­g Government Workers in the 2017 Honor Awards Program Awards Rites held September 20 at the Malacañang Palace. No less than President Rodrigo Roa Duterte conferred the awards, together with CSC Chairperso­n Alicia dela Rosa- Bala, Commission­ers Robert Martinez and Lepoldo Roberto Valderosa Jr., and other committee members. All awardees of the three categories – Presidenti­al Lingkod Bayan, Outstandin­g Public Officials and Employees or Dangal ng Bayan and Civil Service Commission Pagasa received a gold- gilded medallion expertly crafted by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. Presidenti­al Lingkod Bayan awardees also received a Presidenti­al plaque containing the citation and signature of the President of the Philippine­s, and a cash prize of P200,000. Also, they may be granted automatic promotion to the next higher position suitable to their qualificat­ions. Outstandin­g Public Officials and Employees or Dangal ng Bayan awardees also received trophy designed by National Artist for Sculpture Napoleon Abueva and a cash prize of P200,000. Also, they shall be automatica­lly promoted to the next higher position suitable to their qualificat­ions. Civil Service Commission Pagasa awardees also received a plaque containing citation and signature of the chairperso­n of the Civil Service Commission and a cash prize of P100,000.
