CKS College Board of Alumni Association: Innovation Success Trustees and the CKS College the Pillars of CKS College’s
and non-sectarian private school run by the Chiang Kai Shek College Board of Trustees, whose members must be Alumni. Hence, CKS College alumni have always played a very important role in the development of the school. In fact, all the infrastructure of the College was built with alumni donations.
Another aspect of crucial support coming from the Board and the Alumni Association is the offering College is open to all income classes, and a good scholarship. CKS College has various generous supporters that offer scholarships to students and funding for improvements in the school’s systems, structures or instruction. The continuous support of the alumni is a manifestation of the virtues and values inculcated in the students of the College: they return to their Alma Mater to give back no matter what kind of success they had achieved, . As the Chinese saying goes, one should be able to “yin shui si yuan”, literally meaning, “When one drinks water, one must not forget where in the capacity of CKS College leadership to produce students who are committed to excellence, nationbuilding, and global concern.
Value- Centered, Needs-Based Transformation
The key to Chiang Kai Shek College’s successful innovations was its leaders’ needs-based approach and focus on the virtues that were deeply embedded in the school’s culture. Although the students’ needs had evolved and the systems had changed almost completely, the core of the school remained the same. The virtues and principles served as the leaders’ guiding light to implement the necessary changes brought about by the challenges faced by CKS College. They were instrumental in the acceptance and delivery of the changes which were based on the actual needs of the stakeholders. When needs were addressed and virtues were observed, results were produced and excellence was achieved through transformation.
