NU inks pact to enhance student employability
MANILA | Mumbai, October 25, 2017: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading global IT services, consulting and business solutions organization, has signed a pact with National University in the Philippines to launch a comprehensive, long term plan to enhance the skills-readiness of university graduates for the job market.
Through new digital courses, updated curriculum, faculty training, workshops and internships, nearly 5000 students enrolled at National University will now have access to new skills and training relevant to the IT/ITeS (IT Enabled Services) industry. The new alliance is part of the TCS Academic Interface Programme (AIP) to foster collaboration, learning and training in institutes of higher education, leading to a win-win situation for both industry and academe.
To commemorate the alliance, TCS Philippines Country Manager Mr. Vikram Singh and Human Resources Head Mr. Arijit Roy signed a Memorandum of Understanding with National University President Mr. Teddy Ocampo at a signing ceremony Global City.

TCS has planned to launch a slew of new courses and training for students at National Univer - mented will be a customized Digital Marketing course to train students in new age marketing campaigns, online branding, product positioning website creation, search engine optimization and content development. The course with an inaugural batch of 40 students is slated for roll-out in November 2017.
