DOST-SEI holds search for ‘InnoBox’ contest

THE Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) invites proposals for “InnoBox: Search for the Most Innovative Teaching and Learning Materials in Science,” a nationwide search for the most innovative teaching and learning resources in science.

The Innobox Project aims to encourage teachers to be innovative in teaching science concepts to students. DOST-SEI said the competitio­n is open to all public and private elementary and secondary schools in the country.

The department said Filipino teachers who are currently teaching science may submit their entries to categories: Grade 3 to 6, Grade 7 to 10, and Grade 11 to 12.

Participan­ts should be science teachers or a team led by a principal proponent, who is also a science teacher. DOST-SEI also encourages collaborat­ion with students in conceptual­izing the proposed innovation.
