Assist relaunches DigiBayanihan
WITH its Social Actions Department, the Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation ( Assist) has relaunched DigiBayanihan, a movement that aims to promote digital literacy among Filipinos, at The Ascott Makati on October 24, 2017.
Supported by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and google. org, DigiBayanihan also seeks to solve the lack of access to basic education and unemployment by digitizing the country.
“Digital literacy is the use of the ICT (information and communications technology) medium to promote certain skills,” said Assist Managing Director Sreenivas Narayanan (in photo).
Narayanan said DigiBayanihan has three initiatives: to enable the Filipino people to become digitally literate and responsible, the Test Hero, and the Career Engine and DQ World.
