Phi­lab, MyDocNow ex­tend health­care ac­cess

PHI­LAB In­dus­tries Inc., sub­sidiary of health sciences firm Phi­lab Hold­ings Corp., has re­cently an­nounced its part­ner­ship with My Doc­tor Now ( MyDocNow) that will reach out to the ru­ral and un­der­served com­mu­ni­ties in the coun­try through re­mote di­ag­nos­tics and treat­ment, fur­ther strength­en­ing Phi­lab’s goal in pro­vid­ing ac­cess to health­care ser­vices for over 100 mil­lion Filipinos.

Ini­tially launched in the Philip­pines last 2016, MyDocNow is an or­ga­ni­za­tion of med­i­cal and health pro­fes­sion­als ded­i­cated in widen­ing health­care op­tions through vir­tual health­care de­liv­ery.

” It is cru­cial to ef­fi­ciently de­liver the best pos­si­ble treat­ment to every­one. With the help of telemedicine tech­nol­ogy, we are ad­dress­ing the chal­lenge of reach­ing out to the un­der­served com­mu­ni­ties in need of equal med­i­cal at­ten­tion,” said Tom Navasero ( left), chair­man and pres­i­dent of Phi­lab Hold­ings Inc.

Mean­while, Dr. Mike Ver­gara (right), chief med­i­cal of­fi­cer of MyDocNow, said “We are com­mit­ted in bring­ing this telemedicine plat­form around the coun­try with the goal to pro­vide a more - tors alike to re­ceive and pro­vide qual­ity ser­vices. The pres­ence of telemedicine tech­nol­ogy re­moves the in­con­ve­nience and costs for both doc­tors and pa­tients when it comes to trav­el­ling and dis­tance.”
