GenTri marks anniversary, cityhood

COLORFUL activities were line up at the city grounds of General Trias, Cavite as it marks the weeklong celebration of 269th founding anniversary of historic San Francisco de Malabon and the 2nd Cityhood anniversary of City of General Trias.

Themed “Gentriseno: Magkakaagapay sa pagusad at pag-unlad,” the festival aims to promote cultural awareness, celebrate the importance of Gentriaseños and attract tourists and investors.

33 barangay captains will also parade their entries at the Valenciana Festival at the City Esplanade, where the Valenciana dish will be judged.

In the evening, Team GenTri will light up the 15- foot high Christmas lights and Parol making contest at the City Plaza.

Costume Parade will also be held at the Robinson’s Place GenTri activity center. All entries must be recycled materials produced by the Nagkakaisang Kababaihan ng General Trias (NKGT).
