‘I got wrong info on dengue vaccine’
FORMER President Benigno Aquino 3rd on Thursday said his decision to approve the purchase of P3.5 billion worth of anti-dengue vaccines in December 2015 was based on experts’ initial advise – now proven wrong – that the drug was “safe.”
Appearing before a Senate inquiry, Aquino dismissed allegations that the procurement was a midnight deal, and explained the process by which he arrived at the decision.
