China will be the wings that will give strength to PH

River Pump Irrigation Project and South Line of the North-South Railway, are about to start construction of the Davao City expressway and a bridge linking Panay, Guimaras and Negros. We are also working on the possibility of setting up industrial parks in the Philippines, and to identify the second basket of infrastructure projects which could be built in the following years. Please bear in mind that when the Philippines prepares to take off, China would always like to be the wings that give strength.

China has been, is and always will be firmly supporting the Philippines’ fight against illicit drugs and terrorism. China already provided the Philippines with drug detecting and testing equipment and various training programs for PNP, NBI displaced people and the fallen soldiers’ families, as well as our handover of 47 pieces of engineering equipment to Marawi, more assistance within our capacity in the Philippines’ endeavor to rebuild Marawi City and restore local livelihood.

As a Chinese saying goes, “There is no path until bold trailblazers do their job.” In retrospect, we are encouraged by our common resolve and actions to bring our relationship back on a sound track. But we should do far - nese saying goes, “A path will only become broader when more people walk on it.”

Looking forward, we have every reason to synergize our development strategies and carry forward our win-win cooperation, so as to open up a broader and brighter vista for this path of China-Philippines partnership. On this note, I do hope that more and more of our media friends could join us as followers, supporters and contributors on this path, nurturing deeper trust, amity and understanding between our two countries and peoples.
