BROADCAST network ABS-CBN Corp. is offering exclusive digital content to attract subscribers for its mobile unit.

In a statement on Friday, the network said the exclusive offerings were targeted at a digitalsavvy and mobile audience.

The programs for its mobile segment, ABS- CBNmobile, will be hosted by the network’s celebrity talents.

ABS- CBN also introduced postpaid plans starting at P499 to offer its consumers access to new exclusive content aside from call, text and data services.

“This way, subscribers get a good deal and value for money. Our new plans offer continuous access to these shows and KBO they are and whenever they want it,” said Charles Lim, head of Access at ABS-CBN.

“They can consume the con- tent during long lines at malls, during long commutes, and even as they travel to the provinces,” he added.

In November, ABS- CBN said it was expecting to cut its mobile unit’s losses to P400 million in 2017.

“In terms of contribution to results of operations for 2017, we Mobile will still be about P400 million, which is lower compared to when we started,” Aldrin ABS-CBN, said at the time.

He added the network is bullish it can reach breakeven with a new strategy. “That’s our way of cush ABS-CBN has to have a mobile strategy so as to maximize the revenue potential of our content in as many platforms as possible, including the mobile platform,” he said.
