Quezon City reconstitutes Smoke-Free Task Force
QUEZON City Mayor Herbert Bautista has reconstituted the city’s Smoke-Free Task Force to ensure the proper implementation of all relevant national laws and policies, presidential executive orders and city ordinances pertaining to the total ban on smoking in public places.
The task force will be headed by Verdades Linga and Frederika Rentoy. Under Executive Order 28A- 2017, Bautista ordered the inspection of schools, buildings, government offices, hospitals, medical or health centers, transportation terminals, markets and other public and enclosed places in the city.
The task force was given until the first week of January 2018 to develop the program.
Meanwhile, the QC Health Department has conducted its second Adolescent Health Summit with high school students in the city in attendance at the Quezon City Experience Museum in Quezon Memorial Circle on Monday.
This year’s summit aims to inform teenagers of the various adolescent health programs of the city government, including nutrition, oral, mental, adolescent and maternal health.
