PRA compliant to govt’s call for corrupt-free agencies

-

GOVERNMENT- owned and controlled corporation Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA) is no exception to heeding the marching order of President Rodrigo Duterte of a corruptfree system of governance, as anti-corruption drive down to the local government level.

Under the leadership of General Manager and CEO Bien- venido Chy, internal measures are put in place to safeguard the funds of PRA. The recently discovered irregularities, such as the spurious official receipts allegedly involving marketers and some PRA employees, has been immediately referred to the National Bureau of Investigation ( NBI) last year.

The PRA has also imposed administrative actions on other erring personnel. Some marketers of the Special Resident Retiree’s Visa ( SRRV) have been suspended and blacklisted. In the interest of better public service, the PRA is in the process of ISO certification.

The setting up of biometrics for its employees is also underway; employees may avail of the flexible time but absences and under time are meted with appropriate action.

Meanwhile, Chy reiterates his appeal to all employees to join the administration on its mandate to extend quality and efficient service and likewise warns that appropriate actions, including the filing of administrative charges and dismissal from government service, will be undertaken against any PRA personnel who commit unlawful activities.
