Families affected by Kaingin housing project to get P5,000

THE Quezon City Council has authorized Mayor Herbert Bautista to informal settler families ( ISFs) affected by the constructi­on of a housing project in Kaingin Bukid in Barangay Apolonio Samson.

City Resolution 7300- 2017, introduced by Councilor Donato Matias, allocates P13.5 million for distributi­on to a total of 2,706 stands to get P5,000.

The amount will be sourced from the P100 million fund transferre­d by the Department of the Interior and Local Government for the constructi­on of the hous- ing component of the proposed housing project in Kaingin Bukid.

Some of the affected ISFs will relocated to National Housing Authority resettleme­nt sites.

An on-site housing project under the concept of People’s Plan was proposed and agreed to be area in Kaingin Bukid.

In as much as the proposed prone, the housing project shall be designed and planned to be built on top of a retarding pond.

The retarding pond will eventu and in the area of Araneta Avenue.
