Malaysia promotes tourism, trade and investment in Manila
THE Malaysia Promotion Program ( MPP), which aims to promote trade, investment and tourism activities between Malaysia and the Philippines, will be held in Manila from March 11 to 18, 2018 under the theme: “Choose Malaysia.”
Seventy Malaysian companies and government agencies from various industries such as ICT, construction and building materials, furniture, food and beverages are expected to meet with their counterparts at the program. In conjunction with the program, Malaysia’s national trade promotion agency Matrade will also conduct the Malaysia Business Forum March 12, 2018 at the Makati Shangri- La. The forum is themed: “Leveraging Partnership: Asean and Beyond,” and targets to further engage the two countries in cross border trade and investment.
The partnership between Malaysia- Philippines businesses is also encouraged through venturing into other Asean member states and other regions. Honorable Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed, minister of International Trade and Industry Malaysia, will also grace the forum, which will include breakout sessions.
Meanwhile, the Malaysia or “Taste of Malaysia” will also promote Malaysia’s food and beverage, culture, and tourism on March 11 to 13, 2018 at Glorietta 2 Activity Center, Palm Drive. The event’s activities include Malaysian cultural performances, business matching, quizzes, food sampling, and food demo.
