1,195 student achievers receive DOST recognition

ANDRES Rico Gonzales III and Giesel E. Arce, students from Colegio de San Juan de Letran, were among the recipients of the 2017 Youth Excellence in Science (YES) given by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) in recognition for the exemplary achievement of the young achiever in international science and mathematics competitions.

DOST Secretary Fortunato dela Peña conferred the Secretary’s Medal to 1,195 young student- achievers last February 20, 2018 at the Philippine International Convention Center in Manila.

A special recognition was given to Gonzales as the Top YES Awardees for having the most number of medals received from various international science and mathematics competitions.
