AAP raises funds for various beneficiaries
AMERICAN Association of the Philippines (AAP) celebrated their 70th anniversary with a George Washington Charity Ball on February 17, 2018 at City Club, Alphaland, Makati, The said event is to raise funds to provide scholarship for the children of Americans, Filipino- Americans, and Filipinos and to assist ben straits as resources permit, and indigent Americans with temporary funds, repatriation and other citizenship needs.
AAP Chairman Rick Sobreviñas - ciaries—Rachel Ann Gregorio, 24, who is suffering for a very unique illness. Rachel Ann was accom- panied by her mother, Cenia Del Rosario and Alexander Jett, one of the AAP Board of Trustees.
For years, AAP is helping the - ing and help from the members of the foundation.
The AAP is the historic partnership of its members— the American community, the US Embassy, and the American corporations—which in 1949, successfully helped the struggling local Americans displaced by the ravages of World War II in the Philippines. AAP is also the owner- in- trust of the American Historical Collection, with approximately 60,000 volumes about the American colonial pe- US Ambassador Sung Kim, Care.com founder Sheila Marcelo and AAP Chairman Rick Sobreviñas riod and post-war events that used to be housed in the U.S. Embassy. It is through the support from the different partnerships, as- sociations, and members that the AAP is able to conduct its worthwhile projects and much needed social welfare.
