Quezon City Council accredits 61 NGOs and Pos

THE Quezon City Council has passed Ordinance 2651-2017 accrediting 61 non-governmental organizations and people’s organizations (POs). The NGOs and POs have met the criteria and procedures for membership in compliance with City Ordinance 23-92 that creates an Accreditation Committee that processes the applications and also in compliance with Article 64 of the the Local Government Code of 1991.

“The applications were processed and evaluated by the NGO and PO Accreditation Committee and favorably recommended to the Quezon City Council for accreditation,” the ordinance read. Ordinance 26512017 was introduced by Councilor Eric Medina and had been signed by Mayor Herbert Bautista.
