Magcalayos shine in AJGA tournaments
SIBLINGS Jolo Timothy Magcalayo and Jolo Angela Magcalayo displayed their prowess in the green by winning several titles in a row in tournaments sanctioned by the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) recently.
Jolo, 15, won his first AJGA event at the AJGA Preview at Waubeeka in Williamstown, Massachussetts last May 7.
Jolo sizzled with a back-to-back one-under par 70 for a tournament total of two-under par 140 at the Waubeeka Golf Links course layout to capture the Boys Championship.

The two- time PAL Interclub individual champion Jolo then posted a 12-stroke victory in the Philadelphia Junior Tour ( PJT) at the Back Creek Golf Club in Middletown, Delaware a few weeks later.

Magcalayo scored his third win in the 2018 JGS Golf Pride State College Series last May 20 with an impressive two-day total of 136.
His second 68 was enough for him to best second placer Adrian Jordan of Lawrenceville, New Jersey and third placers Jacob Sokalsky and James Ulsh, both from Pennsylvania.
Meanwhile, Jona shot a 75 to rule the girl’s 16-18 division.
