TAIWAN- BASED technology firm Synology is optimistic to boost sales as it expects to land new projects providing surveillance solutions for the Philippine government.

After hitting 70 percent growth in sales in the first half of 2018, Synology expects this to further increase in the coming months.

“We want to achieve higher growth as we can and we feel positive for the second half of this year because we will have a lot of new models coming in from September to November,” Synology Asean Sales Manager Victor Wang told reporters on Wednesday in Pasay City.

“Also we receive a lot of government projects in the first half of this year,” the company representative added.

Synology offers network attached storage, IP surveillance solutions, and network equipment, conduct surveillance, and manage network in the cloud era.

Given this, its products can support the Philippine traffic management system which requires multi- cameras. “Our products can also be the storage for digital signage,” he said.

However, Wang declined to disclose the exact deals with the government but he stressed they expect to close the business by the second half.

He also shared the government used its products to store all videos and pic tures during the 2017 Asia- Pacific Economic Cooperation ( APEC) summit in the Philippines.

In the country, Wang said most of their users are the small- and medium- sized sector.

Synology presented its products to the IFSEC Philippines 2018 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City on May 301 to June 1.

Synology’s prodycts are equipped with surveillance station, a video management software providing intelligent monitoring and video management tools.
