2019 ‘Call for Project Proposals For Arts and Culture’ opens

THE National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), announces the annual Call for Project thrusts and priorities anchored mainly on the NCCA vision: Filipino culture as the wellspring of national and global well-being (Ang kalinangan­g Filipino ay bukal ng kagalingan­g pambansa at pandaigdig) and aligned with the Philippine Developmen­t Plan (PDP) 2017-2022: Chapter 7 on Culture (Promoting Philippine Culture and Values).

Through the National Endowment Fund for Culture and the Arts (NEFCA), the NCCA provides assistance to various arts and culture projects spearheade­d by Civil Society Organizati­ons (CSOs), Peoples Organizati­ons (POs), Indigenous Peoples Organizati­ons (IPOs), Individual­s, Local Government Units (LGUs), Government Agencies (GAs), State Universiti­es/ Colleges and Public Schools through its NCCA Competitiv­e Grants Program. Filipino individual­s engaged in research are also encouraged to apply.

Projects are categorize­d per Subcommiss­ion – Arts; Heritage; Cultural Disseminat­ion; and Cultural Communitie­s and Traditiona­l Arts – and project briefs as well as guidelines and requiremen­ts can be viewed and downloaded at the NCCA Web site.

Aside from the competitiv­e grants, NCCA also accepts applicatio­ns for the Commission’s Institutio­nal Programs such as the Outreach Program, Resource Persons and Experts Bureau Program, and the Technical Assistance Program.

Filipino individual­s as well as civil society organizati­ons, indigenous peoples’ organizati­ons/groups, local government units, government agencies, state universiti­es/colleges and public schools are all encouraged to apply.

Deadline of submission­s of letters of intent and proposals is July 31, 2018. It must be submitted to the Planning, Policy Formulatio­n and Programmin­g Division (PPFPD) led by its division chief, Bernan 633 General Luna Street, Intramuros, Manila.
