Evangelista posts new record in PSL National Series
INTERNATIONAL campaigner Aishel Cid Evangelista broke record in his age band to lead the gold medal winners in the 137th Philippine Swimming League (PSL) National Series- 13th Sen. Nikki Coseteng Short Course Swimming Championship on Sunday at the Diliman Preparatory School swimming pool in Quezon City.
Evangelista established a new mark in the boys’ 8-year 50m freestyle after submitting 34.60 seconds, beating the 34.80 old mark in the tournament supported by TheManilaTimes and MX3.
The West Manila Christian School standout also dominated the 100m individual medley event after checking in at one minute and 27.09 seconds—way ahead of silver medallist Cristoffe Boletche (1:35.44) and bronze winner Ethan Alejandrino (1:42.62).
