The delicious life of Iya and Drew Arellano

-

LOVE is truly life’s best ingredient, and most probably the reason why the husband-and-wife tandem of Iya Villania and Drew Arellano continues to succeed in co-hosting GMA Network’s 10-minuter daily cooking program, “Madalicious Meals.”

Now on its fourth season in cooperation with San Miguel Pure Foods Culinary Center’s chefs, the Arellanos’ happy and easy- going ways have helped the toquewearing kitchen expert Llena Tan-Arcenas in guiding them and the audience in making “madali na, and delicious meals.”

“It’s true what they say that couples who cook together enjoy stronger and closer relationships,” Arellano acknowledged at an interview on the program’s launch at GMA’s headquarters in Quezon City.

“Yup, and here’s the proof,” his wife quipped as she laughed and pointed to her pregnant belly.

“I’m worried I’ll keep getting pregnant the more seasons of ‘San Miguel Pure Foods Home Foodie’ we keep doing,” Villania joked some more.

With the pair clearly enjoying the cooking program, Chef Arcenas shared, “In this season, we will see Drew and Iya’s confidence grow all the more in the kitchen. They are ever playful and perky while helping us prepare the featured dishes. Together, we continue to provide tips and offer madalicious meal solutions to both TV viewers and to the online community via our website, www. homefoodie.com.”

Villiania, who is grateful to keep learning recipes to cook for their year- old firstborn Primo said shooting the season has been more fun with the addition of new and younger chefs to help Arcenas.

“Meet Chefs Martin Narisma and John Valley also from the culinary center, and they’re bringing in their cool expertise to the show,” guaranteed Drew, “With their help, we’re excited to feature recipes inspired by trending dishes from restaurants and new hacks and twists to classic favorites in simple steps.”
