FOX to air Big3 games

-

After a dramatic NBA year of player trades, major injuries, a pivotal playoff, and a thrilling finals, basketball fans are asking for more. Enter The Big3, a unique and competitive basketball league with a 3- on- 3 player format featuring veteran NBA players.

Last year, rapper and actor Ice Cube met with entertainment mogul Jeff Kwatinetz to hatch an idea of creating a new league that will encourage sports and basketball fans to soak in more of their favorite sport after the NBA season. Houston Rockets Legend Clyde Drexler even became the league’s commissioner. After dribbling with ideas and talking with experts, they finally released the Big3. The league has eight teams playing once a week for the summer. Four teams with the highest standings will advance to the playoffs and then to the Finals. After this, only one team will emerge as champion.

The Big3 is bigger than the usual street ball because it’s made up of veteran NBA players. Big names including NBA champions Chauncey Billups, Metta World Peace and Chris “Birdman” Andersen, NBA All- Stars Jamaine O’Neal, Amar’e Stoudemire, Baron Davis and Rashard Lewis, slam dunk champion Nate Robinson, Mike Bibby, Carlos Boozer and Brian Scalabrine are just some of the more prominent NBA stars that now play in the Big3.

All Big3 games will be streaming live on FOX+. FOX+ is available on Android and iOSdevices as well as on Apple TV andselect Android TVs.
