2 KILLED, 14 INJURED IN VAN- TRUCK COLLISION

TWO persons died while 14 others on board a van were injured in a three- vehicle mash up along Maharlika Highway in Barangay Santa Catalina in Atimonan, Quezon at about 3 a. m. on Sunday. The van was on its way to Bicol when one of the trucks lost control and rammed into the van from behind pushing it to another truck infront.

It took more than one hour for rescuers from the Bureau of Fire Protection and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office– Atimonan to retrieve the occupants of the van which was stuck between the two trucks. Atimonan police said the van came from Pasig City ( Metro Manila) and was on its way to Camarines Norte to attend a birthday party. The driver of the truck, Elmes Gomez, is in the custody of Atimonan police.
