Revellers ready to rumble vs Marinero

- BY JEREMIAH M. SEVILLA

CHE’LU Bar & Grill sets its eyes on a semifinals berth as it takes on Marinerong Pilipino-Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP) in the 2018 Philippine Basketball Association

The red-hot Revellers battle the Engineers in the 1 p.m. second game.

Riding on a five- game winning streak, Che’lu is leading the six- team conference with a 5- 1 win- loss record.

The Stevenson Tiu- mentored squad employed impeccable shooting, as it avenged its lone loss with a 105-80 thrashing of Centro Escolar University last Thursday.

“Hopefully, our winning ways will go on,” said Tiu, whose crew notched 18 triples in their previous win.

Spitfire guard Jeff Viernes, Chris Bitoon and Stephen Siruma are expected to lead the Revellers’ offense anew.

Marinerong Pilipino-TIP, on the other hand, wants the solo third to improve its 3-3 slate.

Seasoned mentor Koy Banal said the Engineers are geared up to face the leading Revellers and replicate their 103-80 demolition of AMA Online Education.

“Every game, whoever our opponents will be, it’s a challenge for us,” said Banal, who is expected to rely on Javi Gomez De Liaño, Trevis Jackson and Robbie Manalang.

In the 11 a. m. curtain raiser, Go For Gold aims to snap a two-game losing skid against the winless AMA (0-5).

The Scratchers suffered back-toback defeats at the hands of Che’lu and Batangas-Emilio Aguinaldo College though they remained at No. 2 with 4-2 cards.
