ABSENTEEISM COMPLAINT FILED VS NEGROS MAYOR

BACOLOD CITY: The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) has endorsed to the Office of the Ombudsman the complaint signed by at least 300 residents of Moises Padilla town against their Mayor Magdaleno Peña for alleged absenteeism. The document signed by Natividad Abenir, Chief of the Central Records Division stated “respectfully forwarded to Hon. Deputy Ombudsman Paul Elmer M. Clemente, Office of the Deputy Ombudsman for Visayas, the letter with attachment dated June 25, 2018 from Atty. Romeo Benitez, Director, Legal and Legislative Liaison, Service, DILG, Quezon City addressed to Ombudsman Conchita Morales.” The complaint was filed by Task Force Kasanag national. commander John Chiong, in behalf of the 391 signatories.
