Kat adds that while she is still afraid at times when it comes to chasing after her dreams, she clings on to God to give her strength, “The journey has not been easy. Whenever I walk into a casting room, I still end up having doubts but that won’t stop me, we just keep pushing on.”

“It is the love of Jesus that strengthen­s me every day, it is what keeps me going. The support from people who tag me on social media with their own stories inspire me as well and fuels my passion. Seeing their posts really fuel me to keep going.”

Pursuing her dream in Los Angeles was also inspired by her advocacy.

“Filipinos tend to support other Filipinos when they go abroad. I came here in the hopes that people will embrace my advocacy and start loving themselves more,” says she.

She also notes that the support she gets from her kababayans go a long way in her pursuit, “Brands in the States are similar to brands in Manila, they look at your social media following and so the support of following, liking, and supporting me on social media goes a long way.”
