ORIENTAL PETROLEUM GETS NOD TO EXPAND BUSINESS

- LISBET K. ESMAEL

TECHNOLOGY solutions providers IT Group Inc. and PGE Solutions have decided to combine operations to expand market reach in the region.

In a joint statement on Friday, ITG and PGE said the merger sought to address the growing demand for solutions from the wholesale distribution, retail, services, software and manufacturing industries across Asean territories including the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore and Vietnam.

VJ Africa, chief executive officer of PGE, said the move would allow them to achieve business growth as more businesses in the region would be tapped for technology solutions.

“Technology solution providers in the Asean region are faced with a truly challenging paradox: clients want more with less resources. They expect more comprehensive and intelligent tools, yet they demand simplicity, ease of use, and price- friendly solutions,” he said.

“The merger will position ITG to be the top regional partner, offering clients a more comprehensive set of solutions and services,” added Chris Gamboa, president and CEO of ITG.

Both companies are pioneer partners of enterprise software provider Oracle NetSuite.

ITG is a solutions provider in the Philippines and Indonesia that has been an Oracle NetSuite partner since 2010. PGE is a provider of client consulting and implementation services and has been a NetSuite partner in the Philippines and Singapore since 2008.

Oracle NetSuite expects that with the combined operations, they will be able to provide customers with regional advisory, consulting, implementation, integration and support services.
