What’s in a moniker? For this throaty chanteuse (TC), her title means a lot she won’t part with it come hell or high water.

TC was once the main attraction at a fiesta celebration in a nearby province. Came her turn to perform.

“Ladies and gentlemen,” the emcee announced, “our very special guest needs no further introduction. So without further ado, please welcome (TC’s full name)!”

TC, however, wouldn’t pop out on stage amid the thunderous applause. The emcee called her in again, about twice thereafter but TC still wouldn’t take center stage.

“Lumapit na yung PA (personal assistant) ni TC dun sa emcee, may ibinulong kung anong dapat na intro,” our source revealed.

The emcee then spoke on the mic, “Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome (title with the word “diva”)… (name of the TC).”

It was when TC finally came out, waved and greeted the audience.

This gay comedian (GC)— despite having a high tolerance level for his gay lover’s ( GL) unfaithful ways— could only take so much.

“I knew from the very start that I wasn’t his type of a partner yet I pursued him. Imagine, on weekends I’d pick him up after his work from a stand-up comedy bar (where GL worked as a host) and drive him all the way to Pampanga (the latter’s residence) to think that I also had more important things to do? Yes, what love— real love—I must say, can do,” GC empathically related.

Proof that the GC was really serious with their relationship was his letting GL stay at his Quezon City residence.

“As in parang mag-asawa na kami. Doon na siya nanggagaling from work. May househelp akona nag-aasikaso sa kanya, from the food he ate to the clothes he wore. I made him a ‘queen’ for a ‘queen’ myself,” GC laughed.

Thank God, he said, their plans of getting hitched (LGBT style) in the future fizzled out,

“Planado na yun. Siyempre, ako naman ang gagastos, alangan namang siya?”

Why their supposed altar date didn’t push through was because of what he described as a “horrendous incident.”

“We went to this far- flung place na parang gubat. Nawala siya bigla, hanap naman ako. And guess what I saw, he was having a ‘quickie’ with a man in the middle of those tall grasses!”

GC then called it quits.
