Robredo rating ‘good,’ Sotto ‘very good’

- RALPH EDWIN U. VILLANUEVA

THE satisfaction rating of Vice President Ma. Leonor “Leni” Robredo stayed “good,” despite a two-point dip, survey results released on Thursday showed.

The June 2018 survey of the Social Weather Stations, conducted from June 27 to 30, bared that 54 percent of 1,200 adults interviewed were satisfied with the performance of Robredo, while 22 percent were dissatisfied. Twenty-two percent of the respondents were undecided.

This was a two-point decline from Robredo’s May number. The SWS said this was due to the 5 and 2 points decrease in Balance Luzon and Metro Manila respectively, while there was a three-point increase in Visayas.

Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto 3rd, in his first rating, netted a “very good” mark with a +54 net satisfaction rating. Sotto replaced Senator Aquilino Pimentel 3rd in May.

Sixty-seven percent were satisfied with Sotto’s work, while only 12 percent were dissatisfied.

His satisfaction rating was highest in Metro Manila at very good +63, followed by Balance Luzon at very good +59, the Visayas at very good +53, and Mindanao at good +38.

Former House Speaker and Davao del Norte Rep. Pantaleon Alvarez received a “neutral” mark for his +8 rating.

Thirty- one percent were satisfied with Alvarez, while 23 percent were dissatisfied. Thirty-sevem percent were dissatisfied.

Acting Chief Justice Antonio Carpio scored a “moderate” +11.

Thirty-two percent were satisfied, 21 percent were dissatisfied while 38 percent were undecided on Carpio’s performance.

The survey was done using faceto-face interviews of 1,200 adults nationwide: 300 each in Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

It had sampling error margins of ±3% for national percentages, and ±6% each for Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
