ABS- CBN’s officer- in- charge of Digital Media Elaine Uy- Casipit has just returned from sitting as a panelist in Singapore’s Media Innovation Forum, where she shared her expertise regarding the video streaming landscape and the future of the video industry in the Philippines.

The forum, organized by Alpha Global Network, was attended by the region’s senior media executives and brought together influential industry leaders who shared their insights on changing media trends.

Sitting alongside counterparts from streaming subscription service GenFlix and Orange TV, and Oona Platform, the so- called YouTube of TV, Uy- Casipit talked about the expansion ABS- CBN’s digital business and its path to digital transformation, how the network creates unique user experiences, and its most successful digital projects.

As the newly appointed head of One OTT (Over-The-Top)— ABS- CBN’s new division that was formed to respond to the market’s growing need for streamable entertainment— Uy- Casipit supervises the growth and expansion of the network’s streaming platform iWant TV by collaborating with the best content creators and OTT providers worldwide. She also oversees continuous product innovations and delivery, business development and operations, and content management.

“We’ve certainly come a long way since we launched iWant TV in 2011. We now have over eight million subscribers who rely on us for quality entertainment, and we want that number to grow as we grow. We are forging ahead with our transition into an agile digital company, and we know that we’ll be able to offer so much more: more meaningful products and campaigns, more collaborative ecosystems, more seamless and integrated OTT experiences,” she at the forum.

Uy- Casipit, who was named a Young Market Master awardee by Mansmith and Fielders, Inc. in 2016, played an integral role in the continuous growth of the company’s digital business. She led the group that helped the network consistently produce award- winning digital campaigns such as “Aral ng EDSA,” # McDoBonFries, the “Pinoy Big Brother” Online Bahay ni Kuya, the “One for Pacman” campaign, # PopeTYSM Book of Thanks and OTWOLista. com, among many others.

She also spearheaded the launch of various digital products and businesses, including the company’s fully operational social media command center, the ABS- CBN lifestyle and sports hubs, Choose Philippines Awards, Push Awards, and the music portal One Music PH.
