- ANGELICA BALLESTEROS

MEGAWORLD Corp. is set to launch a new residential project within its 72-hectare township in Iloilo province after receiving strong feedback from property buyers.

The property giant is adding another wing to the Saint Dominique condominium, its seventh residential tower located at the Iloilo Business Park, it said in a statement over the weekend.

The new wing will add 152 prime units comprising of studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and loft units.

Studio units will offer up to 35 square meters (sqm) of space while the onebedroom unit will have up to 50 sqm, two-bedroom ones with up to 79 sqm, and loft type sizing up to 38.5 sqm.

Select units will feature their own balconies.

“The interest on Iloilo Business Park has built up to a level that we have never expected. Since the launch of the two hotels, the Festive Walk Mall and Festive Walk Parade, more people want to live in the township,” Jennifer Palmares-Fong, Iloilo Business Park vice president for sales and marketing, said.

Following completion, the township will then book 1,819 units with an aggregate take-up of 90 percent to date.

Just like Saint Honore residential tower and the north wing of Saint Dominique, the South Wing also features the Parisian lifestyle with the building’s design patterned after the famous streets in Paris.

The new wing will have a landscaped atrium, amenities such as swimming pool, kiddie pool, pool lounge, jacuzzi, fitness center, event halls, game room, day care center, children’s playground and an indoor spa.

“Our residential pipeline is always demand- driven. If there will be more people looking for residential properties in the township, then we will continue to offer more residential properties,” Palmares-Fong said.

Shares of Megaworld Corp. on Friday were unchanged at P4.94 apiece.
