PALA tournament set in October
THE Philippine Association of Landscape Architects will stage the 5th I.P. Santos Jr. Golf Cup on October 19 at the Orchard Golf and Country Club in Dasmariñas, Cavite.
Named after National Artist Ildefonso P. Santos, Jr., PALA pays tribute to the late mentor and commemorates his life, works, and passion for landscape architecture in the country.
Beside Santos’ memorial, the tournament aims to provide and raise funds for PALA advocacies and projects including the continual update of educational materials for Landscape Architecture Program at the University of the Philippines and Bulacan State University.
PALA also create a pool of scholarship to fund the I.P Santos Scholastic Fund for deserving landscape architecture students and assist in the organization’s funding of other corporate social responsibility such as the Luntiang Pook, Pockets of Wellness, Forest Park Networks, Design and consultancy assistance to Investments in Loving Organizations for Village Economies (I.L.O.V.E),
among others.
Entry fee for the tournament is pegged at P3,000, inclusive of the green fee, caddie fee, use of golf cart, lunch and entry to the raffle.
On-course registration begins at 6 a.m. followed by the tee off at 7 p.m.
