New committee head Ariel de Ocampo said that he’s glad the outcome of the in-house activity which opened on August 22 at the Barangay San Antonio Multi Purpose Gymnasium in Pasig City was a success despite the limited time to prepare.

“Im happy that we were able to make this tournament a reality in such a short notice, everybody pitched in, and now, hetona, simulanatayosaating liga. De Ocampo succeeded assistant general manager Arnel Casas in the position.

The Administrative Sector held the title when the tournament was last held two years ago. Four other sectors – Executive, Charity, Management Services and Gaming – will try to outdo each other for the championships.

During the opening games, defending champions Administrative Sector defeated the Executive Sector via straight sets, 25- 18 and 25- 2. The second game was more exciting with the Charity Sector beating the Gaming Sector in split sets, 25- 22, 22- 25 and 27- 25.
