Carpio, Mogato among speakers at PR Congress
SUPREME Court Justice Antonio Carpio and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Manuel Mogato are among the speakers who will address the 25th National PR Congress, on September 27 and 28.
To be held at Shangri-La at the Fort, in Taguig City, the country’s biggest gathering of public relations and communication professionals will set the spotlight on building consensus to explore solutions toward ensuring truth in the practice of good communication.
Carpio will talk about the territorial disputes between Manila and Beijing, as well as other claimants, in the South China Sea, while Mogato is expected to shine light on questions regarding the upcoming midterm elections.
They will be joined by José Manuel Velasco, chair of the Alliance of Public Relations and Communication Management; Bernadette RomuloPuyat, Secretary of the Department of Tourism; and Ellen Tordesillas, trusteee and writer of the news website VERA Files, among others.
The 25th National PR Congress will engage all practitioners and aspirants to uphold the truth in these challenging times, with the theme “Truth or Trolls: PR in the Age of Disinformation.”
This supports PRSP’s overarching principle for this year’s National PR Month, “One for Truth,” which seeks to unite communicators and their publics to be vigilant in practicing responsible and truth-based communication.
The two-day event welcomes leaders and professionals from various fields and sectors—marketing to human resources, government institutions to nongovernment organizations and entrepreneurs. Register online at http://bit.ly/
