Cardinals snuff Blazers for first winning streak in two years

MAPUA University found a familiar hero in Laurenz Victoria as it establishe­d a winning streak with an 86-83 stunner over College of St. Benilde ( CSB) in Season 94 National Collegiate Athletic Associatio­n ( NCAA) seniors basketball on Tuesday at the FilOil Flying V Center in San Juan City.

Victoria hit crucial baskets in the crunch time, lifting the seventh-running

since Season 92 for a 4-8 record.

“Well, there’s no other one to go to but him (Victoria). I’m giving him

of the senior players in the team,” said Mapua head coach Atoy Co.
