IF you’re living under a rock or have been totally detached from the world as we know it, you might be surprised to know that Ford’s F-Series pick-up truck has been a consistent best seller since 1981. This iconic pick-up debuted in 1948. During the 1970s and up to the 1990s, Ford has been crossing swords with Chevrolet and Dodge until the introduction of the game changing Ford Raptor. When it was introduced in 2010, the F-150 Raptor blew everybody off the water with it’s 310-bhp, 5.4-liter V8 engine.

Ford competed in the Baja 1000 endurance competition using a bone stock F-150 Raptor, kicked everybody’s ass and drove back to Michigan with the same Raptor that won that year’s Baja race. That alone says a lot about the truck. Needless to say, Ford and its mechanical beast wrote automotive history and the rest of the civilized world fell in love with the F-150 Raptor.

The 2018 Raptor for a tuner like GeigerCars is a good jump off point for a project

to give the truck a 520-hp performance upgrade from its stock 456-hp engine and installed a lift kit that increased its height by four more inches. To add more muscle to his version of the Raptor, Geiger equipped the truck with an exclusive 22inch alloy wheels shod with off-road tires that would set you back by 7,900 euros.

For those with deep pockets, the Munich-based tuner offers an engine tuning

air cooler, cold air intake and appropriate ECU mapping which translates into an increase in output to 520 hp and 731 Nm, and comes packaged with a full TÜV

While their engine conversion noticeably improves the tarmac performance of this full-sized pick-up, GeigerCars.de also addressed the Raptor’s off-road prowess. Ground clearance is a critical factor when you are in carving up mud and dirt, and the Geiger-Liftkit raises the body of the F-150 a further four inches to traverse rivers and go over huge rocks.

The massive 10.0J x 22-inch alloy wheels shod with 37x13.5 R22 M/T off-road tires deliver another advantage both on and off-road. They are also part of the more purposeful look that comes from the bespoke paint job, roll over bar with folding LED light bar, and special cargo area cover.

This Raptor, which comes in SuperCrew Cab guise, is equipped with a 10-speed automatic transmission, selectable fourwheeldrive, off- road suspension with FOX shock absorbers. It also features aluminum bodywork, which shaves off 250 kgs.

The luxury package option brings a raft of comfort and convenience features such as a Sony audio system, 360-degree camera, security package, two-zone automatic climate control system, satellitenavigation, central locking, and a sunroof.
