New movie awaits Alden after ‘Victor Magtanggol’

FANS of Alden Richards have been asking Showbuzz what’s next for the top celebrity after his super hero series “Victor Magtanggol” ends tonight. Naturally, they’re clamoring to see more of their much loved “Bae” on GMA Network, even if he’s been on prime time for the past several months.

Well here’s the good news, and

TheManila Showbuzz: Alden is doing a movie right after he hangs his super hero cape!

The actor happily shared the news with this column over dinner with Magtanggol’s production team. He will hardly have time to rest from the rigorous taping adding, “I still have ‘ Sunday Pinasaya’ and ‘Eat Bulaga’ every day, of course.”

Unable to go into the movie’s details yet, he promised Showbuzz for a heads up once he starts shooting.

Meanwhile, as Victor Magtanggol takes a bow, Alden shared it is one series he will never forget.

“I will take this treasure of an experience, a huge opportunit­y that GMA gave me again, as I carry on with my journey in life as an actor. I’m happy I accepted the challenge along with my co-stars and everyone behind the camera. This is the kind of show that even when it ends the relationsh­ips we made will remain the same. Ang gandangsam­ahannamin,naging malalimtal­agasiya.”

One of the cast members whom Alden will really miss is Coney Reyes whom he regards with high respects.

“When we started taping, I was kinda shy to approach her. I just greet her good morning or good afternoon then I’d go to my waiting area. But she’s very nice. Parang siyapaangn­ag- reach-out saakin. I said to myself that I should really mae an effort to be close to her because she’s my mother in the story and I’m happy to say that very close nangakami today. I call her ‘nanay’ because she’s really like a mother who cares for me, prays for me, and has that genuine concern for me and everyone on set. And yes, her faith in the Lord is really admirable.”

Moreover, Alden said he will treasure the children have come to love the latest Filipino superhero he portrayed.

“I’m just thankful that Victor Magtanggol made a lot of children happy especially when there’s so much struggle in our lives as Filipinos today. Many have said that Victor Magtanggol gave them hope and taught their children to always do what is good and right.”

The final taping day for Victor Magtanggol took place on Wednesday, and Alden— like everyone— is looking forward to Christmas.

“I’m taking my family to the US this year for about two weeks because it’s very important to give them my time specially since I’ve been so busy the past months. Babawi Christmas. I want to spend the holidays with them. I miss bonding with my dad and my siblings,” Alden happily shared.

It was a stunning Solenn Heussaff who walked into the lobby of the Cultural Center of the Philippine­s for the Bench “Terno Con” on Sunday. The Kapuso star turned heads in her all-white terno, specially created for her by popular Cebuano designer Carry Santiago.

She admitted the event was one of the very few times she has worn Filipinian­a.

“I really love this terno though because it’s very me ! Medyo see-through kasi,” Solenn whispered giggling to Showbuzz.
