MAGNOLIA’S TRAVIS GETS PAT ON THE BACK FROM ‘KING' JAMES
MAGNOLIA import Romeo Travis' feat of leading the Hotshots to victory with a career- high on Friday in Antipolo has caught the attention of NBA superstar LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Magnolia wrapped up the series at 3-1. The win that halted Barangay Ginebra San Miguel’s two-year reign as Governors’ Cup champions also earned the Hotshots their sixth Governors’ Cup Finals appearance and 29th overall since joining the league in 1988.
Meanwhile, Magnolia coach Chito Victolero praised Travis’ stellar performance in Game 4 despite a hamstring injury. Travis collided head on against Ginebra’s Justin Brownlee, Greg Slaughter, Japeth Aguilar and Scottie Thompson.
“I admire his heart. He told me, ‘Don’t worry coach I will do my best, it will get better now,” Victolero told the media after the win.
“I really love this guy ( Travis). The quality of leadership he has shown us from the beginning is incomparable. He gave his all after Game 3.”
Travis scored a measly 12 points in
